Christmas season is here and it’s often moms that do the majority of the planning, buying, wrapping, decorating, baking…..the list goes on and on. So what do you buy Mom to make her day special this year? I’ve rounded up a list of Christmas Gift Ideas for busy moms and since I’m a busy mom, I figured I might have some good perspective for you!.
I’m joining in with tons of other talented bloggers for an amazing gift guide blog hop. Be sure to check out all the great ideas at the end of the post!
A special thanks to Jenny from Evolution of Style Blog for hosting this great gift hop! As a working mom balancing two part-time jobs and this blog, life gets busy! Especially this time of year. I try to plan and get my act together, but sometimes things get left out. And that’s ok!
But if you ask me what I’d want as a busy mom, a few things come to mind that I wouldn’t normally buy for myself. I’m sure there are plenty of us out there that make sure to do everything for everyone else, but maybe sometimes your own “wants” get put on the back burner.
Speaking of busy moms – check out 5 Anti Stress Tips for Christmas – we could all use a little perspective this time of year!
So here’s what I came up with that would make me smile if the big guy in red dropped them down my chimney this year. Along with a few other things that I already own that make my life easier!

Christmas Gift Ideas for Busy Moms
Ah, the Instant Pot. If you ask me what weekly task seems to be the most necessary, but sometimes very tedious, it’s meal planning. And then there’s the cleanup. Trying to cook meals that are healthy (this doesn’t always happen), and easy is hard week after week. I finally got an Instant Pot, and it’s a total game changer in the kitchen!!
Because if I can make mealtime easier, especially those nights I don’t get home until close to dinner time, that’s one less thing to worry about!
I’m the one that’s always cold. I drive my family nuts with this. And when I sleep, it takes me so long to fall asleep and stay asleep all night. I end up piling on two extra blankets on top of my comforter to feel like I’m more snug. So it makes perfect sense that a weighted blanket would work wonders for my quality of sleep! They’re pricey. But if it equals better sleep which makes the rest of my day better, then I wouldn’t mind asking Santa for this!
Since this blog is dedicated to helping you create a home you love and find what makes you happy, it makes sense to include a fitness tool in my gift guide. I love my FitBit. Every week, I join in on a challenge with some friends, (which I generally lose), but hey, it keeps me aware of my steps and activity level. Exercise is good for the heart, the mind, and it helps keep me sane. On the mornings that I start out with exercise, my whole day is better.
We’ve had two speakers made by Soundfreaq for years and they are amazing! They don’t take up a ton of room, they’re wireless, and the sound is pretty incredible for such a small speaker. I use them all the time. If I’m painting a piece of furniture in my foyer, which is pretty standard around here, I bring the speaker with me and sing my heart out. Music makes me happy! Or we keep one in the kitchen and I can have a little dance party while cooking. Even in the garage working on some of our many DIY projects, the speaker gets used!
This was my Christmas gift last year and I finally learned how to use it! I don’t know why it took me so long because it’s not hard and it does wonders for DIY projects. If you’re into DIY and building, a Kreg Jig is a must-have. It’s the tool that lets you join wood together with ease. It saves a ton of time and effort which is amazing when you’re on a busy schedule! We used it on my daughter’s loft bed and a DIY farmhouse dining table.
It’s almost the time of year that everyone gets “healthy” on the brain. I have a terrible habit of skipping breakfast some mornings. And another terrible habit of not getting enough fruits and veggies in the day. So clearly, a Ninja will solve all my problems, right? Well, nope. But, it’ll make mornings easier and get more nutrients into my diet. It would also be an easy way for me to sneak some more veggies in the kids’ meals.
Back to the whole being cold thing – robes are a must for me. I’m like that granny who comes to the door in her bathrobe. Sorry kids – hope it doesn’t embarrass you! And I’m due for a new one this year because I’ve worn mine out! And this one is affordable and gets amazing reviews.
I would totally rock this shirt. And it’s cheap! You know those days as a mom when your name gets called fifty-eleven times even though dad is sitting right there? Those days. And if I had this shirt on, I’d just point to the shirt and talk to the dog. Well, in my head that’s how it would happen anyway!
And because we all know how hard it is to say no to the endless requests, this mug says it all. Sometimes you’ve got to say no. And that’s ok. Go walk your unicorn and enjoy!
