Kitchen makeovers can be as simple as redecorating or as involved as a complete renovation. However, if you learn to DIY a few things, you can save yourself thousands of dollars and get a new kitchen!

 I recently painted our kitchen cabinets – you can see all about my experience here! My kitchen update was part of the $100 room challenge so it definitely wasn’t a gut job.

Nothing changed but the color of the cabinets. But it made a dramatic difference in our house. It’s so much brighter and it was 100% worth the effort.

They all look very nice! Looks like bright and modern is definitely the trend right now, with a few extra cozy exceptions. It is truly amazing how painting a room, or even just part of one, can make a gigantic difference.
